Why aren’t black listeners supporting new R&B artists with potential?

Black RnB artists aren't being pushed anymore, it's mostly just the non-Black RnB artists that get a push, and the non-Black RnB artists mostly crossover into pop

there's a lot of other variables, but too much to type on here because it would be paragraphs

guess for the most part I will just listen to older RnB

I’d rather listen to Isley Brothers, Kellz, Brandy, Ginuwine, K-Ci & Jojo, Sade, etc.

I’d love for someone to prove me wrong… but from what little I’ve heard, these new negroes just ain’t got soul :yeshrug:

This is my favorite R&B album this year and these comments are.... something. New music just doesn't hit with most people like that, even the older generation. That article about old music doing better makes sense now.

Many of the artists today seem like social media influencers that happen to make music. All I know of Ari Lennox is all the non-music shyt she goes viral for. Same for Doja Cat. Same for someone like Tinashe.
