Look, the truth is that too many people in our communities are House Negros, some willing participants, and others are unknowingly leading themselves to their own eventual demise.

Very few have the heart and spirit of a Field Negro.

I stated in my thread that things like this are why I wish I were alive during the 50s, 60s, and 70s because Black people had more fight, a desire to stand up against the systematic and social structures of racism, among fighting for what's right but nowadays too many are comfortable just “going along to get along”.

The ones framing it as “oh it's the immigrants and CACs' fault, so let them deal with it” is nothing more than a copout, y'all just soft and ain't got no heart or desire to fight the man and his system, you'd rather be the White man's favorite Negro.

The reason I say this is because what I love about Black folks from the old days is that they were full of “fight” and the heart of a lion, they didn't simply play the white man's “go along to get along” game, they fought back and made demands, put fear in white people's conscience that things were no longer going to continue the way they were going. Nowadays, we try to raise our voice to say “hey, enough is enough”, and CACs just laugh, overpowering, silencing us, kinda like the kid in class who tries to stand up for themselves and to be heard and respected just to be shut down and disregarded by the other kids.

Ironically, despite everything that transpired in the segregated, Jim Crow era, and Civil Rights Movement, White people actually took Black people seriously in the sense that when they raised their voice to talk, they listened, whether they respected the sentiment, they took them seriously. White folks these days, hmph, sitting there laughing in our faces because too many of us (well, not me, but generally speaking) have become neutralized, mentally speaking, and gotten too comfortable with just “getting along to go along”.

I miss the tenacity, that dedication to fighting, showing heart and toughness, demanding to be heard and respected rather than simply playing these “go along to get along” games to soothe White people's conscience and to earn some faux sense of fitting in and belonging in the American social/nationalist structure.

See, some of y'all are too soft for me, no toughness or heart to fight, you've gotten too comfortable with the illusion of things being “better”. That fire and passion Black people had back in those days is what I miss and have extreme admiration for, so a part of me wishes I were there because of the sense of purpose and determination to fight by any means necessary, regardless of the circumstances, they never laid down.

What's holding Black people back today is a lack of desire to fight, and having the heart and toughness to go up against the system, we're too indulged and immersed in trying to prove to the White man that we “fit-in and belong” rather than putting him on notice that things are not going to continue the way they've been going and we demand to be heard and respected, among other things beneficial for the lives and communities of Black people across America.

I find it interesting you frame it this way, when our people did what we were suppose to do and voted against this at a higher rate than every other group. Yet, we are the house negros and White man's favorite Negro, huh? Even Black, non-Black Americans voted for Trump at a higher rate than we did, but yet again we are trying to be the White man's favorite Negro, huh?

You wish you were back then, but you can do something now. Go out there, march with them, protest to your heart's content. You don't need to be back in the 50s, 60s, and 70s to do that. Heck, I did it as a college student in the 90s. What we did not do is talk down on our own people, nor did we pine about not being born in the past to do what we could do in the present.

Black people voted against this in the highest of margins

Black people have been speaking out for many issues longer than most.. even casually (reminds me of the chick that was eating food talking about basic health care for immigrants)

Black people also boycotted corporations in some of the largest numbers. Places like Target, companies like Disney, corporations like Tesla.

And black folks on TV also using their platforms to show support and solarity to “others” and their causes… Doc Rivers just the other day spoke out to the media about ICE agents murdering that woman in cold blood. Not everyone c00n A. Smith. There have been 30+ people killed so far by ICE as of now too. Mostly non-white… we warned them.

So what else should black people be doing? We know some are out there in the streets protesting, but most of us got bills and problems directly in front of us first. Not saying that is an excuse, but if you worked harder than others to get somewhere you know you have to work harder to keep it.

Plus, black people showed up where it mattered the most… the polls. And will most likely continue to do so. We can’t say the same about “others” even with all this shyt.

A Phillip Scott video. :mjlol:

You guys love projecting your apathy and ignorance onto Black people as a whole. Black people are out protesting like any other group. I don't know what some of you think you're getting out of pushing this false narrative that we don't/shouldn't care about this country turning into an authoritarian state.
are you out there protesting? if not, you are not allow to talk this dumb shyt.

and to be clear, the only Black folks that’s still out protesting are the fools that’s still fighting for acceptance from the non Black folks. :scust:

Why reminisce about the past nobody's stopping you from doing something about white supremacy in the present lead the charge be the example you want to be because last time I checked from 2014-2020 black folks was fighting white supremacy on a level we haven't seen since the 60s. Also yes it is cacs and spics fault we in this mess it's not a copout it's simple common sense they were warned about what would happen but cacs had to cac and look where we're at now. So yes cacs need to step up fix their bullshyt because at the end of the day it's their system not ours they're the only ones who can actually change the system from within

This

Cats reminiscing about the 60’s when the only thing that’s really changed is the technology and the mentality of the people that were in the 60’s.

Racism is still very much alive and well, these clowns even brought back old ass Nazism from WW2.

So instead of criticizing black people for shyt we aren’t the cause of, and don’t (in mass) have the ability to change on our own (obviously) why don’t these cats go out there and do some hardcore protesting.

Go be an example of what you want to see

And having a black president is what caused this.

Black people got all the way to the White House and racist white people short-circuited.

Elected the most unqualified troll/reality TV clown over a qualified woman (twice) and put us all on this goofy ass path to the Upside Down.

TF we supposed to do? This isn’t about Civil Rights, this is about all rights now. They wanted this disgusting dude to hold the most powerful position on earth and look where it got them. Black people aren’t responsible for this nor supporting it, so what else do we need to be doing?

History is funny depending on who’s telling it. Some clowns post a few videos and think black folk are protesting like it’s business as usual.

If that was the case, why are all these news articles questioning where we are? Why are all these other minorities making videos about why we’re inconspicuous by our absence? Someone is lying somewhere.

My parents told me that before MLK Jr died, a lot of black folk stopped fukking with him. They were tired with how passive he was and felt his approach was way too soft and not radical enough.

Once he was assassinated, his martyrdom has somewhat swept that aspect of his legacy under the rug. That’s why he was trying to pivot his approach into a much more aggressive way before he was murdered, he saw the tide turning on him.

Same with Obama. We saw how little he did for us in the end and his name is mud now. We all believed voting for him would make a difference and it did, just for all the wrong reasons. Obama’s two terms is the reason we have Trump now, like it or not.

And Obama’s passiveness will forever be a stain on his legacy to us, not these bootlickers. We keep on doing the “morally right” thing, and yet we seem to bear the brunt of it every time.

My post wasn’t about Obama :dahell:

Idk what you cats were expecting from the first black anything in a majority white country but nothing I said brought up or criticized his run as President.

And although it was not perfect, it was better than Bush’s, better than Bidens, and MUCH better than anything Trump has and ever will do… in life.

As a black man, he had the best presidential run out of any recent President outside of Clinton and his was harder with more racism and he still kept a squeaky clean image that did not disrespect or demean FBA’s and black people as a whole.

TF was HE supposed to do? What was cats expecting… white slaves?

To me, his presidency was a symbol.. a signal. And apparently it was to Trump and the rest of MAGA too.

I was referring to the first line in your post:

Which is my point. Even though we voted for the first “black” President twice, his election was the domino effect which led to Trump getting elected twice.

Am I putting the blame on Obama? Of course not. This is white America and white American adjacent rearing their ugly head. So we’re in agreement there.

Where I vehemently disagree is on Obama’s legacy. On a surface level, yes, he was the best president America has had for a long time. Ok, beyond his image being squeaky clean and seeing a “black man” become President, how else did his two terms benefit us in the long run?

Btw: I didn’t want to make my post solely about Obama. It was more to do with how legacies are viewed years later, and how history is re-written.

Obama was way too passive which put a battery in a bunch of cacs back. They were never going to accept him regardless of him placating them. I still cringe over that beer summit he did with the racist azz cop. An FBA President would've handled things completely different. Obama has too many weak azz white liberals advising him.

No

He triggered racists to come out of their shytholes to make sure another “minority” becomes president again.

My point was, we as black people had come this far in that short of time because of the work our foundational leaders put in during their time.

Regardless of who had won, or when, if a non-white person had ever become President then as long as there were racists then bullshyt like this was going to happen regardless.. inevitable.

So are you saying we shouldn’t have had a qualified black man/family even try?

And it wasn’t on a surface level it was on damn near every level, the Obama years have been some of the best years in America SINCE Clinton. And I wasn’t speaking about his legacy at all, so since you brought it up what were you expecting from a black man president in a majority WHITE country?

I’m seriously asking too, what were you guys expecting? White slaves? Free money? He wasn’t even able to accomplish everything he attempted to do because of opposition at every turn, unlike cats just laying down at this orange clowns feet.

Like I said, his presidency was more of a signal.. a sign.. a symbol. Trump and MAGA got the message but yall can’t?
