I find it interesting you frame it this way, when our people did what we were suppose to do and voted against this at a higher rate than every other group. Yet, we are the house negros and the White man's favorite Negro, huh? Even Black, non-Black Americans voted for Trump at a higher rate than we did, but yet again we are trying to be the White man's favorite Negro, huh?
You wish you were back then, but you can do something now. Go out there, march with them, protest to your heart's content. You don't need to be back in the 50s, 60s, and 70s to do that. Heck, I did it as a college student in the 90s. What we did not do was talk down on our own people, nor did we pine about not being born in the past to do what we could do in the present.
The problem is that many of you have disappointed me and many other like-minded Black folks who refuse to be the White man's House Negro and have the desire and the passion to fight the systematic and social structures of racism that continue to cause damage to our communities, mentally, physically, and economically speaking.
Y'know, I rarely ever see any of you guys speak on White supremacy anymore, it's like all that matters is “immigrants this and immigrants that” and boasting about how much of an American you are that to me, I view these actions and sentiments as bidding for free passage from the White man, the idea being that maybe if you can convince the White man how anti-immigrant and pro-American you are, he'll give you passage from his wrath.
I'm starting to get the feeling that many of you are okay with White supremacy in full-blown action wreaking havoc on society as long as it doesn't affect you, y'know as long as you play ball, you'll still get to live in your big house, eating your House Negro food, driving your House Negro car, get to work your House Negro job, etc, etc.
The determination, fire, and passion that once embodied the mind and soul of Black folks from previous generations is now extinguished, and instead of fighting the power, too many of you would rather submit to it and play “go along to get along” to avoid ruffling the feathers of this white supremacist-driven society.
It's a shame, Black people, even in the midst of turmoil were taken seriously but nowadays White folks especially during this administration's tenure are just laughing and walking all over us now, downplaying our accomplishments, taking away everything we've worked hard, especially within the last 60+ years, among other things detrimental to the mental, physical, and economical well-being of Black people everywhere.
Yet, all you House Negros can do every dayum day is babble on about immigrants, shouting and screaming about how much of a “real American” you are, in the hopes that by appeasing to the White man's mentality with these rhetorical sentiments, he will gush and open his arms up for you while in the midst of cradling in his arms, White supremacy continues to cause systematic mayhem on our people.
Malcolm X warned us about the Negro man or woman who chooses to indulge in American Nationalism, moving forward, it doesn't bode too well for them.
It makes me sick to witness this each and every day.
