Their choices came with life or death consequences, of course everyone has a choice in life in any situation, the consequences of those choices were astronomically different of a college/pro athlete and a slave

You're a real coward for calling any slave who didn't leave a p*ssy, that's a real easy thing to do posting on a forum in 2015 eating a big mac and sipping on starbucks. You never in your life endured 1/100th of a hardship that a slave has, yet you have the arrogance to judge the content of their character and courage
Yaaaaawwwwnnn
For every rebellion, Revoloution, Runaway.
Slaves had a choice, the end.

Just because a p*ssy chose to let fear dictate what he was gonna be the rest of his life, have no bearing on me.

I betch u aint kno harriet tubman had the burner on deck for not only cacs, but for fukk nikkas as well.
fukk nikkas who chose to align themselves with slavery.

You didnt reply to all the haymakers i just dropped
the school cares about money... the school gives student athletes A's when they show up to class 3 times all year

No shyt the school cares about $, and the corruption of college sports is well documented.

But it's not slavery, it's nowhere near that level of injustice. But that isn't the topic here, and to veer from the focal point of the discussion is ignorant and irresponsible.

The fukk does me being white have to do with anything?

Because i'm white i cannot read a history book or logically deduce the differences between slavery and being a college athlete?

My whiteness isn't the problem here, your lack of intellect is, BRUH

Slaves had choices...

Harriet Tubman said she freed hundreds to thousands of slaves, and she stated she could of saved waaaaaaaay more, had more of them knew they were slaves.
.
She freed 70, a number which came from her own mouth. :what:

Also, that quote is fake

Fake Quote: “I freed a thousand slaves. I could have freed a thousand more if only they knew they were slaves.”

Original Quote:There is no original quote for this. This quote was entirely made up, and became popularized starting sometime in the the 1990s. There is no documentation, nor historical basis for this quote

All slaves knew they were slaves.

Maybe you're ideologically opposed to all forms of slavery but if not, you're falling into the trap of thinking that unless a situation lives up to the worst excesses of American chattel slavery, then it shouldn't be described as slavery.

This is at best myopic and at worst gives license to excuse some of the most insidious modes of maltreatment we've come to view as normal. Slavery has taken many forms in many different places and cultures, the American experience doesn't have a monopoly on the specifics. What is common to all forms though, is a measure of exploitation. Taking advantage of somebodies circumstance in order to profit without adequate remuneration perfectly describes the crux of the college football issue, which isn't to say it's slavery but only somebody invested in white moral panic would fail to see the parallels.

But what active black boxer has 40 Million dollars in their bank account? :dwillhuh:

Pacquiao and Wlad Klitschko are the only two boxers in the whole sport that got bread like that.

I was thinking the same thing breh:heh:

I think @IWunD3r might need to catch a neg train for trying to pass fake quotes as real.

Why the OP and everyone like him is a c00n for referring to multi-millionaire black men as slaves :camby:

What type of racist stuff is this? :dahell: Seeing a profession dominated by black men and the first thing you think about is slavery :why:

Slaves didnt get to go retire, f@ggot. :stopitslime:

I hate when mofos compare millionaires to slaves. No wonder you have mofos walking around saying "slavery wasnt that bad"
Nah you have that because some people are racist and want to minimize the African American experience at all costs.

Because America's engagement with slavery was so cruel and inhumane there's this warped perception of what it actually means to be a slave. Somebody could be treated with utmost kindness and respect, own property and land yet still be a slave according to the laws of their land, if they required the permission of another to do so.

The defining features of American chattel slavery weren't the inability to retire or anything relating to the legalities; it was brutal, crippling dehumanization and the birth of white supremacy. Even if slaves had been able to retire they would still have fallen victim to the most vile and horrible treatment humans can inflict on one another.

My goddamn self. Shout out to my real Africans
It's intellectually dishonest to compare it to chattel slavery.

Its more intellectually honest to just label it as another system of exploitation.

Also, folks should just stick to sports talk. Anytime you add social and political dialogue into these discussions, folks expose themselves as c00ns, CACs and dumb asses.
