Medium to medium well. I can't go back to eating well done steak

This where I am. I like a little bit of pink but not so much where I see blood when I cut it.

Agree on the general apprehension to undercooked meat. When I go out with friends for sushi it’s either the cooked, vegetarian, or deep fried rolls.

there's a recent study that says neanderthals often ate raw, fermented, maggot infested meat. it's a residual dna memory thing. same reason they call fnie dining low light with candles, analogous to the times they ate in caves with a fire burning at night to keep warm, again residual dna memory. go to africa and see generally what time dinner is eaten (hint it's still plenty light out).

I dont know if its a science to it. I know my house is the one we host family functions at. We have BBQ's, fish frys all that over at my crib.

My people and their friends usually request hot dogs burnt, sausage cooked until it pops open, wings fried hard, fish fried hard, well done crust on the baked mac n cheese etc etc. I dont think about it, i just do it because i dont like the texture of undercooked meat. Had some hot wings at Anchor Bar in Buffalo and they were big and slimy. Im used to the ATL wings, small and fried hard.

yea thats how my dad side is... them nikkas damn near fry everything hard ...seafood boils bags with a shyt load of seasoning..

he is picky bout his steaks medium well or medium rare.. depends on the cut...

it took that nikka to come up to tacoma/seattle one time to come to the crab pot..experience how seafood is better steamed.. hell eats it all the time whenever he goto joes crab shack ..back in the day jus didnt notice it ...

he saw how they steamed everything and thru everything on the table mussels shrimp etc ... and only thing that was needed was lemon n butter

A more important question is why is it so important how someone likes their steak? Had great medium rare and well done, so i dont get why someone's preference is bothersome to people

The issue is A LOT of well-done steak eaters turn it into a self-righteous, religious issue and look sideways at people eating anything less than med well. It turns into some "I ain't eating no blood " bullshyt and they refuse to listen to any logic/science behind any of it. I just think your jerky chewin ass has bad taste, you think I'ma die of E.coli and then burn in hell for eating steak med rare
