black people going to church dont necessarily pray to white gods
but there is a huge problem with Black people believing in, and worshipping the likeness of the type of men who lied, cheated, enslaved, stole, raped our ancestors.a good number of us worshiped Yeshua and believed in the bible before being brought over as slaves. The big difference is we believed Jesus looked like us, and we didnt consider ourselves less than human. shyt got confusing when the slave masters deceived the enslaved, and had us believing the bullshyt versions of our own beliefs
morals separate us from animals?....i highly doubt we needed rules/laws to be civilized. The fact that most people are greedy and do not want to die keeps things in check. Greed is good.
humans have the ability to make tools and have the greatest ability to reason of any living thing on earth. Plus we are fairly good adapters....and Our brains change over time to be more efficient for our lifestyle. When i was growing up I could remember several phone numbers....now it's just a selection on a cell phone or a google search away so the brain of any future offspring may be shrunk in that area because I shutdown that part of my brain years ago.

Morals are one of the major factors that separates us from animals, along with having a more developed conscious. Morals does back to reasoning vs instincts.

I personally believe that a large # of people are christians are subject to the groupthink mentality. Mama & big mama made sure you was in church every weeks and for a lot of people that all they know. I was also raised in a strong christian household but i really started to question that shyt by 13-14.
After doing some of my own personal research i dont see how things in the bible historically, nor do i see "God" out here looking out for people so
I think brothas stop going because its not much that we feel like we have to learn from going each week. While women (most and not just the black ones) gravitate towards something like church because they are looking for direction, where as men are supposed to be the one providing the direction 
Its probably gonna be difficult for me to get married down the line tho. ALL the fine sistas in ATL be on the church tip heavy
