Im watching the Cavs vs Thunder game on NBC and I noticed that it's 720P in 2015 are you telling me that the major TV networks still aren't 1080P...With that being said unless you just want bragging rights their is not enough content out there to invest in a 4K HDTV...

And fukk a Curve HDTV.
I'm pretty sure 1080p takes up double the bandwidth of 720p. You're not gonna get broadcast TV in 4K. Hell you won't get it in 1080p either.

Yeah highest I see is 1080I with 1080P for streaming and disc based.

Damn I am the only one that is impressive. I buy them all the time and millions of people do as well.

Your right...Millions of people also don't buy...The target audience are people who have HDTV do you really think even 30% of HDTV owner have a BLU Ray player none the less actually purchase/rent them.

We are really a niche crowd that cares about the picture quality and surround sound set up and how many pixel per inch.

Well, I got my Sony 4K and I'm impressed with it. It's shows a lot better than the 8 year old 1080i TV that I got. Everything is just that much clearer in my opinion. Even the shows that I watch that's not in HD looks good. I'm a sucker so I got it. I'm not even mad either.

You don't go out of your way to buy a 4k television because the content isn't there yet, but if you're in the market for a new tv, getting one with 4k can help future proof yourself. Still, I'd choose a 1080P OLED over a 4k LCD/LED if I had to buy a tv now.
