I'm 19 and I don't like 90's rap that much. It's like dudes just wanted to show how dope they were on the mic and too many people sounded similar...
With that being said, I've always liked pop music more than rap music and 80's pop>everything else imo.
I was raised around Gucci Mane and Jeezy and southern hip hop, but I've always had an ear for good music...
To me, the 90's is severely lacking in depth because the true greats are the only one's that are brought up and referred to as classics. You never hear the 'floor' of 90's rap because it was just as bad as the worst shyt is today. Dude's just don't like to bring that up...
Like in West Coast rap. Dude's would say some of the corniest, most cringe-worthy shyt, but no one noticed because it was masked by a nice beat and the artist's cadence.
he's a pop fan. he likes pop songs disguised as rap songs.
this like saying "yo i cant listen to sun ra and miles davis jazz music but i love kenny g jazz"
18 years old.
I been making my way through Jay-Z discography. I like Reasonable Doubt but vol 1, 2, and 3 are hella boring to me.
A lot of Wu Tang songs sound really boring to me.
They're just bars. There's no real melody. I'm sure if I printed out lyrics I'd appreciate it, but they don't sound fun to me. Fun songs to me are like Drake - 4PM in Calabasas, Kendrick Lamar - DNA, J.Cole - Neighbours, Vince Staples - Big Fish, etc.
I like some 90's songs like Ice Cream and Atliens, but I can't listen to a full album cause it gets boring. 4:44 >>>>>>> any Jay-Z album for me. Is it really that hard to enjoy stuff before your time?

No he's notGucci Mane is historically known for putting out fast food music and your worrying about depth

Didn't mention AZ specifically, there were 100s of other artists during that time period, not all of them were AZ.
You clearly don't know what you talking about .... yeah certain shyt sound the same but that's where it stops
stop trolling- u ain't fooling nobody
