Good question but i dont know if it's a real answer for it either. Maybe he just wasnt feeling the pop shyt and wanted to make the kind of music that he wanted. That''s the only explanation that i can come up with for him changing lanes.

prolly a strategic approach by the label. Maintaining relevancy to the pop world is almost impossible, but he can build a loyal base appealing to the "hood".

It was a mixture of things. He said in an interview that the strategy this go around was to release the club records first because he felt he lost that fanbase and then release pop records afterwards. You guys are all right, that pop crowd is a fickle one.

Also he personally wanted to reconnect back with the urban market (Rihanna did the same thing when she hit up Mike will for Pour It UP). Im sure these artists get tired when they're performing at shows and see nothing but white faces. B.o.B performed at my school during that pop phase when strange clouds released. I goto a PWI that has a decent sized black population and NO black ppl fukked with that show.
