Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Name me 10 boxers that died this year

that's like saying airplanes are more dangerous than car crashes because everybody dies in the plane crash

boxing fights take place all over the world, so its bound to be more accidents

but a lot football players can barely walk before their 50

(Not dead, but is now basically a vegetable)

Family of incapacitated boxer Magomed Abdusalamov files lawsuit against N.Y. commission, state, Madison Square Garden - ESPN

The year isn't over, name 1 football player that has died on the field in the last 5 years. Boxing is far more dangerous, it's amazing that you're trying to argue otherwise.

Once again out of the countless boxing matches that take place within a year, this nikka fighting in ball room, when the NFL players have state of the art medical equipment on hand

so yes you're right in that regard they can do more to revive someone at a serious injury

but both instances are here are clearly the ref's fault

also I'm not arguing which one is more dangerous
I'm arguing the dangerous nature has nothing to do why boxing is being neglected if you have been paying attention

Most boxers start out in those shytty conditions (ballrooms), how many young prospects hit the scene and are fighting @ MGM?

Sometimes it's impossible to tell just how much damage someone is taking, Pedro Alcazar -

Alcazar's death shocked the boxing world. He lost his title to Fernando Montiel in Las Vegas, Nevada on 22 June 2002. Immediately following the bout, Alcazar was declared healthy by ringside doctors, with no visible signs of any trauma. He went sightseeing the day after the fight and was in his hotel room getting ready to fly back to Panama when he collapsed. He was taken to hospital, where he died.

This was the first time in boxing history that a boxer is known to have collapsed so long after the end of a fight. The boxing authorities have discussed compulsory medical testing for boxers up to 48 hours after a fight finishes, longer than heretofore. There was already concern following theMichael Watson case, which in the United Kingdom established the principle that the authorities have a wide responsibility for thehealth and safety of boxers (and spectators too). Alcazar's death highlighted the manner in which it can take an extended time

And the dangerous nature of boxing is exactly why kids aren't doing it anymore, getting punched in the face for a living and potentially dying in the ring scares parents away. Look at how terrified the NFL is that mothers will start pulling their sons from football because of potential brain trauma. They are doing everything in their power right now to push the link between football and head injuries deep down and out of sight.

If already addressed this issue, the only place boxing is lacking in talent is the heavyweight division
and thats because they're playing sports like football because they are more accessible

everybody knows the risk of playing football, you can't be scared and play that shyt

same with boxing, fighters ain't scared, the dangerous has nothing to do with it

I use the same thing as the plane analogy, just because everybody dies in the plane crash, doesn't mean its less safe than driving car, when in fact is the opposite.
Considering how many fights take place in boxing all over the world, the death rate is extremely low
and yes the safety can be improved upon, but when guys like mayweather speak on it like with the glove situation people all him scared

It's not that they are more accessible, it's that you have a better chance of making it to the NFL than you do of being one of the top 5 heavyweight fighters in the world. The risks of being a boxer far outweigh the benefits, you don't get a scholarship for being a great boxer either :ld:

Everybody knows the risks? Nah, people had no idea you could end up with lesions all over your brain even without suffering a concussion, that is new information. Nobody knew that kids as early as 15 could have early signs of those very same lesions as pros :whoa:

People die in the ring, period. I don't care what the "rate" is, nobody has died on the field in the NFL in ages, regardless of how many games or plays take place.

None of that shyt is going to stop people from playing football that's the whole point I'm making

nobody has stopped boxing

someone was killed in an MMA match, nobody is going to stop fighting MMA now
just like a race car driver dying didn't stop nascar

boxing is still deep with talent

all that you said is only relevant to heavyweights
for reasons I already stated, quality gyms are hard to find,
and also the NFL is governed by one body, and boxing is not, so you can't compare them

because safety measures can be taking or neglected depending on the promotion
