So which is it? Was it by black people for black people?or was it all inclusive
And before you say hiphop is all inclusive,it was,which is why I say it wasnt black music at its inception.once it became black music there was no mistaking who it was by and for rather non blacks participated or not. Disco never made that clear distinction.
It was both.
When MFSB and George McCrae and Gamble & Huff were making the first Disco records, they had no idea that White folks or anybody else would be into. They thought it'd just be danceable soul music, but once White folks and everybody else started diggin' it, why would they trip?
