Why did black people stop saying “right on?”

PE was probably making a linguistic ref. to black power slang.
"Right on" was, far as I can recall, part of the Black Power era.
Once that era was done away with, the slang went with it.
There's been studies into black vernacular, my research don't go deep enough into the changes.

Not to mention the generational disconnect among black people.
