Y'all 4 pages deep bickering about the qualities of a fictional character that no one has ever been able to reliably demonstrate its existence.

Why don't yall ask yourself why you believe in him first. Is there good reason supported by good evidence to do so?

They dont even realize that they base their values off of he-say. The whole book is about men saying this person we cant see said and did ___.

Folks believe this shyt has validity because its old.
If somebody wrote a book in 2019 with bible content, folks would call it bullshyt

This question lies outside science and can't be verified or falsified using the scientific method.

That leaves philosophy/theology as the only means by which this 'guess' can even be grasped.

How? Evil still means evil no matter what synonym.
And why try and replace to closer to original version with a newer one? The context is still there regardless.

"Why did god create evil"
"Why did god create calamity"
"Why did god create adversity"

Dont matter what word you wanna put there

It matters very much because a calamity and adversity are not looked at something that is moral. When people think evil they are thinking morality

Then the problem is even worse since morality is subjective. What is 'evil' to some people may not be 'evil' to others.

I tried to tell another poster that the word used was 'calamity' but he INSISTED that it meant 'evil'.

He can't read Hebrew, though.

KJV is the most OG version

No, it isn't. The most OG version (of the OT) is from the Dead Sea Scrolls.

You can read them here....

Digital Dead Sea Scrolls

The writers of the KJV didn't have access to this and a few thousand other texts that have surfaced over the past 400 years since the KJV first saw print.

Based on the plethora of manuscripts we can be reasonably sure that the original text is preserved within the textual tradition.

I didn't read the whole thread but it could have ended here.

Most people are proud to say that they do what they want to their own lives, but complain about the power of choice God has given them :mjlol:

God didn't create the evil, but He does allow it to have some power over our lives so that we may choose the path of wisdom or the path of damnation.
Why can't God give people "free will" AND make the world free from evil?

So what's the point you're making? Sounds like you just tryna change to a whole different conversation.

God created evil (or whatever synonym you wanna accept) and the scripture says it
