Mark Cuban fell off after 2011 championship. Remember he let Tyson Chandler go for nothing when he was that missing defensive piece for Mavericks to finally win a chip.

Brunson left under Mark Cuban's ownership as well.

Their new ownership that they have, know absolutely nothing, where even Mark Cuban with all his mistakes that he's done is still 10x better than them.

It was clear the mavs were cutting costs and didn't believe that Brunson fit. Lets face it they had a superstar in Luka Doncic averaging almost 30 pts. Brunson is a scorer and someone that needs the ball in his hands. He doesn't do anything else elite that compliments Lukas game. When they traded Luka it confirmed that the Mavs were after cost savings and really don't give a fuk about building a championship team anymore.
