Regina Hall was fat to death, for a girl who sorta reminded me of the cat and the hat...lol.
Anyway, I saw this movie on cable. I didn't remember hearing about it when it played in the theaters. I caught the part when Taye was getting jacked up. Ayway, the movie made it look like Chestnut made the right decision, and married her anyway. But in real life, he wouldn't have found out only an hour before walking down that aisle. And it's hard to believe a girl would do something like that only once. I remember one time, this brother canceled the day before his wedding. He didn't even show up to his bachelors party, as we waited on him. I thought he just got cold feet, but now, I wouldn't be surprised if he had a similar situation like Chestnut. May he rest in peace.
I remember one of my closest friends, may he rest in peace, had a very similar situation like Chestnut's, when his college roommate, and best friend, slept with his girlfriend. It was a situation where they were about to break up, and his best friend thought it was okay...smh. The funny part was, unlike this movie, his best friend was the one upset, because my friend wouldn't open the door for him, when he came over to discuss it. My friend was one of the most non violent friends I've ever had, next to another friend, who was my best friend, who was even less violent than him. May he rest in peace as well. My friend told me, when he wouldn't let his buddy in that day, he started pounding on the door like he was going crazy. As peaceful as my friend was, he said if he had a gun, he believe he would have shot him if he gotten in. They did make up many years later, but they were never the same.
All I can say is, it's rough having a fine lady, and a handsome best friend at the same time, especially when that best friend isn't in a relationship.
