Cause history only exposes casuals, if you study it long enough. EA will never get a dollar from me to this day because of the bullshyt they did. Made NFL games shytty and trying to erase this from people's memory because they love money over a quality product.

Some of this shyt is because of Goodell. It's why Created Players can't have tattoos or basically the same customization as NBA Live. He also thinks that one company having the NFL license is better than everyone having a shot at it because it's easier to control one company
People slept on that Franchise mode too.
Only time I've seen a sports game with a real salary cap so no super teams and you could get your players to get surgeries to help get them back on the field quicker. Plus the weekly show with Boomer

. Still, imagine 2K at their peak giving us throwback NFL teams to play against current ones . Getting back teams like the 2006 ravens would’ve been so much 
. I forced so many rage quits with them in madden 2007 
. I beat my brother with a pick-6 in overtime twice and after a while him and our friends straight up refused to play me if I used them

They completely and utterly DESTROYED NBA Live... Madden knew what was coming next with that $20 and the ESPN sportscenter in game.
I mean we look at Live now..... But back then.. They had that shyt on lock.. since Bulls vs Lakers on damn 16 bit systems. Soon as 2k came with Iverson on the cover. Completely gone from the market. Tried to come back years later, still ain't shyt. This is a company with a 10 year plus head start, endless money, and still, couldn't do shyt
They was not gonna let Madden go down. Next, they'd come for soccer or some other shyt. EA and the NFL nixed that shyt with the quickness
