He became unlikable.

He started catty beefs with artists making better music than him - Kanye West & Rick Ross - for no apparent reason.

I guess the reason was "beef sells records," but nobody told 50 that move in the playbook was ten years out of date.

Also, he started losing his voice and his flow and the cool Dr. Dre beats. He got inspired by Eminem's "rap with weird accents" phase. His singles went from classic (In Da Club) to stupid (Magic Stick, Amusement Park) to forgettable. (Can you name one, after I Get Money / Ayo Technology?)

Aaaaand he was a dikk and a bully to G-Unit. Treating your friends like crap...who can relate to that?

He made a comeback this year but it might be too late.

He started the Ross beef?

He wasn't fresh off the streets? I don't know him personally but I am from south side queens and his name still holds weight to this day but think what you want it don't bother me I'm not him :scheme:
Right. It's plenty of nikkas names that hold weight but ain't about shyt. The streets is full of nikkas with fake reps. Just as it's full of serious nikkas wit no names or rep. 50 Cent is a clown plain and simple,

He's a c*nt. He went from underdog to bully. People hate stuff like that. He didn't spread any love at all.

When G-Unit was popping he put them on an island and separated them from the rest of NY. Then when they weren't popping anymore they're jumping on other artist tracks and getting guest features.

Basically

He tried to warn you hoe ass nikkas in the end of this song.

I think yall just decided to like fakkits, givng into label trends pushing homosexual rappers on the youth, and that caused a disconnect with 50. Sad what happened to yall.

If a nikka put on a dress you gonna put on a dress too? - 2009 :wow:

Basically this, the hop hop world works in cycles, 2003-2005 was about being tough/gangster, 2009 was when soft music started to take over, and there's no way 50 could fit in musically when Drake and 808'S kANYE were considered cool. he was still getting money through different avenues however.

50 oversaturated the market. People got tired of seeing his face everywhere and listening to his music all the time.

The best comparison i can think of right now is Activision and Rockstar.

Activision milks their franchises with yearly releases and minimal improvements until the general public loses interest and stops buying them.

It happened to Guitar Hero, Tony Hawk and it will eventually happen to Call of Duty.

Rockstar on the other hand, takes their time and releases a GTA game every 4/5 years with tons of technical improvements and great production values, maintaining public interest and critical acclaim.

That's why the GTA series made the move to 3D in 2001 with GTA 3 and it's still going strong almost 15 years later and shows no signs of slowing down.

I expected there to be a lot more "he fell off :yeshrug:" answers than I've seen on the first page.

That's the actual answer. Every album he dropped after grodt got progressively worse

85% of people being mentioned in this thread can't even sell 200k albums right now... Yet 50 just got 78M for some underwear, a hit TV show on starz, and making more money than ANYONE mentioned in this thread.. 50 punked damn near all these sorry ass rappers.

50 did not get 78m for some underwear:mjlol::snoop:

Dude really said "50 just got 78M for some underwear" out of all the people they could've picked, you really think they'd give 50 78m:bryan:

I think you need to go research that whole deal and not feed into everything 50 says for shock value, he sure knows how to make headlines:steviej:

Musically he's fallen off now. But that wasn't the reason he lost steam. Ross has lost steam because the music isn't at that level. If he could put out another couple athems - another DTR/RF/TD album he could go gold.

50's decline has other issues.
