1. There was too many other young dudes comin' out da A. He got lost in the shuffle.
2. The label he was on hit with some other chit, then folded.
(3 maybe...I suspect a lot of little dudes got held back if they weren't light-skinded enough, but that's speculation.)

He's a 1-hit wonder that had his 1 hit when he was 12-years-old. Than he didn't come out with a follow-up album/new single after the first album run until 6 or 7 years later when he's 18 or 19. At that point, it's like breaking a new artist all over again. When he came out with his 2nd album in 2016, there was already a lot of competition in that young male R&B singer lane. You had Chris Brown, Trey Songz, Omarion, Mario, & etc. at the time.
