Pay 150 dollars to a show and see a one minute squash match main event

The Goldberg apologists kill me

There's a reason Flair used to do 60 minute broadways on the regular when he was champ

Wrestling is an artform built upon storytelling, Goldberg simply does not give fans there money worth
Man sold out the Georgia Dome with those squash matches, Stop

You ain't heard? Whining about 'smarks' is the new being a smark. Anti-smark contrarians are popping up all over various 'IWC' forums pretending to like Roman Reigns.

Those marks can kick rocks.

I'm tired of their selfishness & stupidity.

Enough pointing the finger at the wwe & the wrestlers. Hold these bums accountable for their actions.

Some of y'all believe these idiots can do no wrong.

Goldberg always had squash matches that is who his character was, that was the whole point of his character. He was a beast that would just destroy his opponents yet people want to see him out here putting on 20 minute matches? :dahell:

Wrestling fans retarded as fukk :heh:

The problem is a lot of people don't even remember them Goldberg squashes, they just remember the image of Goldberg. As weird as it is to say, Goldberg doing squash matches like that just don't fit into an era were you going to have AJ styles, KO, Seth, Sami, Neville, etc....having weekly matches that are just going to have more shyt in them than a 3 move squash.

He was doing that shyt in an era where the business was at its biggest.
You had Stone Cold on every week
You had the Outsiders
Hollywood Hogan
Cruiserweights dropping fire weekly

What are you talking about?

He saying these guys nowadays do amazing shyt in the ring. So after you see AJ carry Shane to a MOTN contender. A couple other decent matches from guys that been there for years. Then have a guy do 2 minute match for the belt leaves a bad taste. Would I boo? No because I grew up on Goldberg, but some of these other guys didn't fukk with him like that.

I know what he is trying to say, I'm saying we had legit ATGs on weekly during Goldberg's prime, so AJ and KO doing shyt means nothing, shyt would be a thunder match back then.

real shyt breh, Goldberg is the last of a dying breed. That football roided squash match type. I just hate how they tried to "humanize" him for the soccer moms and kids in the crowd. He talked about his son way too much. Felt like i was watching a Lifetime movie after awhile

Exactly. Goldberg didn't need to reconnect like that. All he needed to do was be Goldberg, do some high power shyt, cut a savage promo, and keep it moving. To try to make it heartfelt seemed forced, and we all know the nikka did it for himself and the check. Kid looked bored as shyt when he was trotting him out there last time.

Pretty sure people turned on him after he squashed KO in 30 seconds and paraded around with the strap for a month

I mean, I was a kid fully immersed in wrestling when Bill was Bill, so I knew what it was when he came back. That "Goldberg" character has a shelf life though, had one back then at his peak (read up on wcw having to mute goldberg sucks chants) and it's not surprising that fans turned on him after the nostalgia wore off.
