Exactly. Goldberg didn't need to reconnect like that. All he needed to do was be Goldberg, do some high power shyt, cut a savage promo, and keep it moving. To try to make it heartfelt seemed forced, and we all know the nikka did it for himself and the check. Kid looked bored as shyt when he was trotting him out there last time.

He got out at the perfect time. I called this a few months back. Its really a generational thing. Also, doesn't help when you beat someone like Owens. (See Rock vs Punk)

Goldberg did good imo. Played his character to a tee with a few tweaks. (Spoke more than he usually does)

His short run this time around was really more in line with his OG WCW run. Quick and to the point. I liked it better than his drawn out 2003-2004 run. He just looked better at that time.

Loved how he wasnt afraid to fire back at the crowd after Mania too. Needed to be done.

With that said, no need for him to return. Id hate to see him get more flack. He had his return and moments.

Fans chose Goldberg for awhile..he was the Austin equal in 98. Roman was never ever that over..neither was Bret, Shawn, Benoit, Blandy, etc.

He drew bigger shows and gates than Seth and Roman.

He also had the luxury of being away for over a decade, the demand for him was higher due to the fact that he was a rare product.

Dude is fukking trash in so many ways, you saw his shine wore off as he got boo'd out the building at Mania.

Then the fans felt bad as he exploited his family for cheers.

Dude's one of the all time WORST main eventers in the history of wrestling.

No commitment to the craft, whatsoever. Just look at his WCW run, never improved and people turned on him as his shtick got old, completely flopped in WWE first time because he couldn't work or talk and this little nostalgia run consisted of 3 matches with less than 8 minutes of ring time.

Keep blowing the guy because you care about Vince's pockets though
