yup the 90's was the last era of true black ppl. Nowadays blacks are content to be Junior Associate White people. We had culture at one point. Great thread. real interesting to hear about the history of 5%, and the bloods in jail. Prisoners are probably more well read than the General public, so it's not surprising that many find knowledge while locked up. Problem is that they're discredited by society immediately because of the stigma of jail.

What's interesting to me is reading about cointelpro involved in these groups. Lately I wonder if some of these street gang members work as cointelpro. I remember in 96/97 this dude from the block went to jail and came home a blood. He was showing everyone his cigarette burns and talking bout how he got down. That was the first time any of us really heard much about gangs.Next thing I know the whole neighborhood is blooded out and eventually nyc started having serious gang problems. Looking back I really wonder if those dudes were secretly paid by the gov to terrorize certain neighborhoods. It's also interesting that those same neighborhoods are now completely gentrified.
