T-Mac wanted to escape Vince's shadow and be his own man. He knew that he was passing up a chance to build something special in Toronto but he didn't want that.

He led the management on saying that he would stay but in his mind he has already made up that he was leaving Toronto. The sign and trade only happened so the Raptors could get something in return for it, but obviously it wasn't enough.

Had he told management that he wanted to leave, he would have been dealt by the deadline. Guys like Jermaine O'Neal were offered for him.

Karma hit T-Mac good and could never lead his teams past the first round. He ain't shyt now and I wouldn't be surprised if Quincy Douby dropped 60 on his head in China :pacspit:
