Just thinking back on it, That had to have been the worst trades in Raptor History or Maybe ever in the NBA . :what:

As soon as McGrady left, he became a superstar in Orlando. It is not like he and Carter payed the same position as well. Carter as the 2 and McGrady at the 3.

They had the potential to have been a deadly combination for years. That would have been Jordan and Pippen 2.0 with less defense but (they could have learned that with the right coaching)

Thinking back on it, They would have run the Eastern Conference for years. :win: Since they were both young at the time. McGrady was 21 and Carter was 23.

Phil Jackson maybe would have brought his triangle offense there instead of the Lakers.

Put the right guys around those two like you did with the Bulls, Spurs and Lakers and forget about it. (With both McGrady and Carter often drawing double teams, the Raptors would have needed a bunch of three-point shooters who could stretch the defense).

Each player's individual legacy now has been :flabbynsick: because each individual hasn't done much at all in the playoffs. McGrady who is playing in China now has never played past the first round and Carter reached the Conference Finals just once, which was with Orlando is now a veteran journeyman coming off the bench.

Toronto offered Tracy a MAX contract. He chose to leave anyway. That's one rare area where Raptors Management (Grundweld) didn't actually fukk up. Tracy was long gone the minute Vinsanity begun. Complained about the minutes he got compared to Vince. Doesn't matter now though. Went on to be a 2nd round virgin anyway (when Houston moved on he was injured.)

fukk that, what I wanna know is why Logo didn't pull the trigger on a T-Mac deal before Orlando. Coulda tossed them nikkaz Glen Rice/Rick Fox and had Kobe and T-Mac on the perimeter with the Diesel inside and Phil on the sidelines. :wow:

That lineup is fukking ridiculous, especially when you consider that Mike Miller, Tracy McGrady, and Grant Hill (well, he didn't play, but it was assumed he would) all handle the basketball a LOT.

That shyt would've NEVER worked out. Tracy Mcgrady was a superstar in the making, there was NO way he wanted to play second Fiddle to Vince Carter, his own COUSIN let alone play third banana to an ever warring Kobe and Shaq:heh:

But looking at how his career went, it probably was in his best interest to be the third wheel to GOAT franchise greats Kobe & Shaq. At least he'd have a ring and a memorable moment or two past the 1st round. :ld:

Hindsight is 20/20. There was NO way T-Mac was going to turn down the chance to be the MAN in his Hometown with a max deal at that time period. Remember this wasn't exactly a time period where stars were all going to the same place to form super teams. It would've been ( best case scenario) T-Mac and Grant Hill as the main options on that team, and Grant Hill, though a superstar at that time, was enough of a teammate and team oriented that he wouldn't have "held back" T-Mac too much from being the star he became. There wasn't any real logic in considering the Lakers, Kobe fulfilled that role already, and you see the problems he and Shaquille had...

:comeon:

Why are nikkas on here always trying to re-write history?

He left Toronto because he hated it there.

All he cared about was being the man?

Then why did he want to play with Grant Hill and Duncan in Orlando?

Are you forgetting that he signed after Hill did?

Don't you think he would have played second fiddle to him?

STOP WITH THE fukkING REVISIONIST HISTORY.
