Lmao @ Austin being insecure in regards to facing Hogan. It's not a stretch that Austin didn't want to do the match mainly because he felt that it wouldn't have been any good. Now he did say that had he not been as stubborn, and basically putting so much focus on the quality of the match, that program should have happened. He acknowledges the money that could have been made, but for someone like him, (i.e. someone who cares about their craft etc) he will not do a high profile match just for the sake of garnering money.

It is what it is. Hogan was open to doing the match, Austin was not.

he didn't wanna job to sting and literally laid down..came down in street clothes and all.

I read that story the other way around, heard it was Shawn who wanted to do the rematch then Hogan started talking about his "knee injury". Not saying it's true but thats the story i read...JR said and i quote "Shawn is known for what he's accomplished in this business, Hogan is known for how he does business" [I'm sure that quote is based on politics, and not as an overall thing]
I heard a clip on YouTube where he said he thought him and HBK were gonna do a rematch and get some more money out of it where Shawn was gonna get his win back but after their SS match, Shawn abandoned the idea but then again this came out of Hogan's mouth

and in regards to Austin/Hogan.... its obviously clear that Austin just ain't wanna work with him even though on those WWE documentaries he claims that Rock/Hogan should've been him vs Hogan but on these podcasts and off the record interviews, its clear he ain't wanna work with bruh

Hogan kicking out of that stunner and hulking up afterwards would have been :banderas:
that alone would have beaten austins character. imagine hogan no selling austin shots... thats why he didnt want the match. the rock could survive that because he has charisma out the AH, austin is supposed to be this super bad ass, taking a L like that hurts his image.

JR is a known stan of guys like austin shawn n taker. i aint takin his word for it.HOG was THE BUSINESS.shawn wanted a rematch after making the first one look silly as fukk? Hogan said that shawn was making shyt unprofessional so he told vicne fukk that and ended it after summerslam (i think that was SS). that match was the WORST thing i ever saw and the blame goes all on shawn michaels. who would pay to watch a rematch when michaels made wrestling look beyond fake that night. he didnt wanna do business.

i have a feeling austin would do the same thing. cause when it comes crashing down and it hurts inside.... whatchu gon do brother

And the reason goes, he did that because Hogan didn't want to lose in the rematch or was saying he needed knee surgery [when the rematch was being discussed] either way it goes, its just he said he said...no way to really know the truth as both sides tell 2 different stories other than the fact that there was supposed to be a rematch

"it wouldnt be any good"

look at these austin stan excuses. please bruh. austin didnt put on 5 star wuality matches every week. the hype alone would draw money.

andre vs hogan was no masterpiece of wrestlinga nd its known as a top 3 match ever in the business. fukk atta here with "it wouldnt be any good"

guess austin wasnt any good then because rock and hogan had a fukking classic. austin is insecure. everytime hogans name is said around him he starts acting like a bytch. check him at the hall of fame acting like a cry baby wit the attention HOG gets

so shawn botched the first match cause hogan said he wouldnt job on the rematch before the first match even occurred? riiiight

shawn still acted like a child. even if hogan DIDNT lose at the rematch.. thats a good excuse to ruin the main event? shawn mcihaels vs hulk hogan...hmmm... who didnt know hogan was winning that one. michaels is/was a bum when it comes to name recognition. dude is a mark for himself just like austin.

Austin's reasoning was wack, just like his reasoning for not wanting to do the CM Punk match is wack. If he would've left it at he doesn't wanna risk his health, that'd be fine. But he brings in match quality, the buzz and attention alone would bring in money, especially with the merch that would more than likely be produced during the feud [As if CM Punk would drop the ball on this type of opportunity] and wanting to do it right...their characters alone make that shyt easy to book...CM Punk StraightEdge heel vs Stone Cold...build up to WM...whomever wins, wins

Nah because Hogan used the "injury" excuse to NOT do the rematch [The way HBK became injured in the 90's when it was time to drop the title :heh:] All wrestlers are a mark for themselves tho :manny:

You sound mad as hell. Of course from the hype alone it would have drawn money, something that Austin acknowledges. You claiming insecurity because a guy gives a damn about putting on a quality match, and knowing that his opponent wouldn't have been able to meet him halfway? Eh...

I mean damn, don't bytch and complain to me about your hero not being able to go against the G.O.A.T.

Like I said, it is what it is. You can claim insecurity or whatever the hell, but at the end of the day Austin didn't want to have the match and unlike some he's not desperate for a payday regardless of how high.

hogan couldnt meet him half way? thats bullshyt and you know it. like i said

the rock vs hulk hogan wrestlemania 18 is a CLASSIC wwe moment. i follow the hogan philosophy "only thing real is the money and miles" and austin proved to be the insecure one here. you could point out a few of moments in hulksters career too... but AUSTIN VS HOGAN should have happened, could have happened, didnt happen because of austins insecurity. an easy payday, biggest one austin would ever see. stans will roll out any excuse i guess. ya know, IT IS FAKE... they do it FOR MONEY... austin didnt wanna FAKE LOSE and GET PAID. looks like a bytch to me. musta had sand in his puss like you.

austin bytched and complained about doing the J.O.B. to the real goat. he knew if hogan hulked out on him, it was over because they are polar opposites in characters

Hogan could have met him. There's a million ways to have a quality match. What Hogan lacked in mobility and technical prowess (because 02-03 Austin was basically Dynamite Kid ), he made up for in unbelievable showmanship and getting a story across to the audience.

The match obviously should have happened and Hogan would have been FRIED if it were the other way around.
