Why did WWE never do Hogan/Austin?

Honestly, you can't go wrong with either one. But I think wrestling fans will hold Austin in higher regard than Rock. Barely, but Austin will always be ranked above Rock.

Nah breh. Speak for yourself. I definitely hold Rock above Austin. I honestly think a lot of it has to do with demographics. It depends on the area. In southern/redneck/white areas, they probably rolled with Austin, but I grew up in black and hispanic neighborhoods. We were about #TeamRocky. Austin was defintiely second in most of our hearts. nikkas was eye brow raising and tongue wagging way more than they were sticking their middle fingers up and telling people to give them a hell yeah.

It's 1A and 1B, but if Austin is ahead, it's by very little.

yeah I read it and also remembered from reading. I knew back then Hogan sued Russo because he went too far in his worked shoot and never returned to WCW

But i got the details the idea was that this was meant to get the belt on a heel and have Hogan return later on and claim he's the real champ and he wasn't defeated

Russo is a dumbass lol but he wanted to generate controversy like the Bret Vince screwjob and messed up the plans
