You need songs like this to hit the charts and sell singles/albums.........female purchasing power is huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge! They buy songs and go to concerts......along with their friends and boyfriends etc....
It's a proven formula that propelled Wale, broke JCole as a rapper, solidified Drake and served LL for over 20 years.
loso shoulda kept it hood and did features on the types of track
papertrail wasn't even his biggest album that was king which is when he was one of the biggest names in rap at that time.Stop what? We going to act like Paper Trail didn't have more hype than any Luda album?
They outsold him because of the era's nikka lol , Paper Trail for white people is his msot popular album and went 2x plat soooopapertrail wasn't even his biggest album that was king which is when he was one of the biggest names in rap at that time.
word of mouth and back for the first time both outsold and was much bigger albums then papertrail.
imagine a Fab or Young Dro debuting in 2012 and being anything less than megastars instead of C level they was in the 2000
..but Fab is a nikka that folks check for but just may have 0 faith in his albums at this point....and I mostly mean dudes already have the idea of who his albums cater too....but those mixtapes
? Weve seen everybody from Jay,Z to Rich Hommie Quan to Project Pat say they was fans of Fab
...he is a rappers rapper and will always have people check for em on that level long as he stay consistent, and to me he's putting out better music than he ever has and the bars got more replay than a lot of those puncline filled joints that come off corny today even though I was
first time I mighta heard it.There's 4 tiers of rap stars imo
Global Stars (Huge world wide fan base, considered Icons universally) : Pac, Big, Jay, Eminem, Nas, Dre, Kanye, etc.
Mega Stars (Had a HUGE run on top as the biggest rapper but never sustained it or haven't yet like the global stars): Drake, Wayne, 50, Ludacris, Snoop Dogg, DMX etc..
Big names (Everyone knows them, sell records, have tons of hits, but never quite "ran the game"): T.I., Young Jeezy, Rick Ross, Fabolous, etc..
Well known (Highly respected by their peers, have sold records, have hits, but just a notch below a household name): Cam'ron, Pusha T, Ghostface Killah, Meek Mill, etc..
anyway, fab is a great rapper but shyt like Holla Back, cant deny it, trade it all and that lil mo shiet don't stand the test of time. in fact, they're a couple of bars away from being cringeworthy.
if he had more radio singles like Lights out, Breathe instead of make me better and throw it in the bag, it would've benefited him more in the long run.
