Jay went to see Dre multiple times with the intent of getting Dre for a whole album at one point Dre agreed but as usual it never came together

Jay had beef with 50 or the other way around...and well for a long time 50 was the cash cow..,,so any dre good shyt was going to his camps

the real hiphop.
From what I remember from the pre album release talk of The Black Album they worked on tracks for that album, none of them made the final retail release. They probably also have a bunch of unreleased Detox tracks that we'll hear in approximately 30-40 years. :francis::mjlol:

Jay wrote The Watcher for Dre... was down with Eminem in 2001... they even teamed up with Rick Ross in 2012. But why didn't Jay ever recruit Dre back in 98-03 when they were both in their primes? Would've made some classssics

dr dre was nowhere near his prime in '98-03 breh.

Jay didn't write The Watcher, he wrote Still DRE. They collaboed on The Watcher 2.

Also...

Came out in 99

I always liked this Song. I used to have this 1 and maybe a couple others from Vol. 3. I didn't like Vol. 3 all that much but this was 1 of the 3 or 4 that stuck out as decent to me. Hov on Dre Beats or Dre on Hov Lyrics always came out pretty good I guess.
