Not a lot of black actors made it huge, even Don Cheadle and Forrest Whitaker are not doing movies like that, its hard to name 5 black actors who are huge.

yeah but Tate should at least be at the level of a Whitaker or Cheadle. Neither are Denzel or Will Smith status but they consistently get work and appear in major movies in supporting roles. Whitaker won an oscar for Best Actor and I'm sure cheadle been nominated. Tate just randomly pops up here and there.

Derek Luke came years later. Menace came out in 93

True, very true, but you can't deny that Turner's fall off happened around the same time that Derek Luke started to make noise. Luke is just a better actor.

You can say the same thing about Omar Epps. I feel only Pac would be in movies like that. Any actor who is not safe or is rough around the edges like Tate or Tyrin will be hard to market to the mainstream. I bet the only thing they offer these guys are black comedies and black romantic movies.

Its either you are Sam Jackson, Morgan Freeman, Denzel, or Wesley Snipes, Will Smith. Movies kind of remind you the playing field is not that level. Producers have to like you, before they throw you in a $100 million movie.
