I would never place them above UGK, but they have been legend status for the longest time. The amount of summers that got lit up by this tune
I'm a fan and been since Comin' Out Hard dropped, they definitely had some heat with the 1st 3 albums (Comin' Out Hard, On The Outside Lookin In', and On Top Of The World, still got the cd's). My only gripe was Eightball was carrying the group, when MJG released his solo you realized his lyrical ability was nowhere near Ball's. I can't put them above UGK, that's my all time favorite group right there. Puff got ahold of Ball & G and god knows what happened from there.............. I had some favs though.....

The argument can be made with most southern Duos that they were lopsided besides KAst. For example I liked Pimp C but Bun was rapping them raps, I think 8 ball and MJG were a stronger Duo than UGK, but one can make the argument that Bun was better than both Ball and MJG.

Bun was definitely the lyrical one in UGK, however Pimp was doing the producing, laying the hooks, and playing instruments. Bun said all he had to do was come with heat, Pimp took care of the rest.

of course, The only Duo I can say one person was carrying the team was Big Tymers, but in a sense one could say Big Tymers were the OG "Troll" rappers in a sense that they gave no dambs when it came to effort in rhymes and were more so showboating and making fun of the showboating, it's just that Mannie Fresh is just so talented that his production legitimized their projects.
