of course, The only Duo I can say one person was carrying the team was Big Tymers, but in a sense one could say Big Tymers were the OG "Troll" rappers in a sense that they gave no dambs when it came to effort in rhymes and were more so showboating and making fun of the showboating, it's just that Mannie Fresh is just so talented that his production legitimized their projects.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but I will say that Big Tymers is one of the most influential groups of the past 15 something years. The style of production, the videos, the white T's, the cars, the jewelry... A lot of the old Big Tymers stuff is practically standard inventory for most rappers nowadays.

The fly by night fans really only seem to mention oukast. You'll never hear an eightball n mjg/three six/ugk/geto boys/tru/hot boys come out of their mouth. The south really got a bad name for themselves in the whole ring tone and garbage atl era but they have put out some of the greatest groups and albums of all time.

When you listen to How You love This, its IMO a Satire album minus the Hot Boyz features. The Big tymers albums imo were much more light hearted than the other Cash Money projects, it was essentially a Bragging contest. In the past "stunting" in the rap industry were cats taking themselves too serious and were trying to display superiority to other rappers, IMO I felt Big Tymers were making fun of that in the sense that they were on some "Eff all yall" but not gooning, but on some Deon Sanders type steeze i.e.. The Beautiful Track.

No one understands this:wow:

The Big Tymers were highly underrated...

Bling Bling was their song before they gave it to geezy...

If they would have kept it, that would have changed a lot of perceptions

Sure, I see what you're saying. Then again, they were adamant about being game spitters ever since they dropped. I think Baby even claims that to this day. Mannie was obviously a comedian since day one. Big Tymers still wrecked tho, and the Hot Boys features were vicious:

of course the Game Spitter thing was part of the act imo, it was like eff all this Lyrical Miracle crap, we gonna talk over these dope beats for 3 minutes and let the Hot Boys give you something lyrical the other 2. IMO I feel at least they didnt take themselves serious because they were "balling so big". Like when you look at NYC rappers, they would make brag raps but they always had to include a "goon" element to it.

That's game spitting for you :yeshrug: Remember the Big Tymers intros, they were as much of a highlight as most the songs.

All day. But, we're veering off topic here. To bring it back, I think the Puff album is highly underrated:
