I think it’s the opposite. I think white people praise it more than black people.

I honestly haven’t met too many black people that enjoys it. There’s a few but other than that I remember when I was in college (HBCU) a lot of people were complaining about it being a jazz album.

What type of Black people you hanging around? :francis:

Every Black person I've been around likes the album.

On topic I'm a fan of TPAB. The album really grew on me.

By a wide margin...It lacked the coherence, stellar production, intriguing concept relatability of GKMC.

TPABs jazz rap funk fusion did nothing for me (and I love jazz inspired beats) and the albums theme of reconciling remaining true to yourself vs. being a sell out wasnt as clear cut as the "I literally survived my child hood but still carry those scars" theme of GKMC.

That's probably true. There's quite a few especially younger ones who don't like the sound of the album. The jazz, funk, and soul throws them off because they want to hear 808s and hihats

I think if only stans love the album and call classic then the album didn’t hit like that

I’m not a Kendrick Stan and it’s easily his worse project

My feelings basically, it's dope but it took a little time to get into. And it is not as good as GKMC that shyt is classic. This is a nice album but not classic IMO.

I listen to DAMN every now and then, but not TPAB that much at all.
I still listen to GKMC from beginning to end. That sh*t never gets old. :wow:

The hooks, the writing, the songs, his pops on the skits. :wow:

Yeah, it is really excellent.
TPAB has some joints but the skits are a little too long. Alright might be his best song tho.
