Let me put it this way:
TPAB is one of those albums that is locked in a time capsule. For it's time it was innovative, but Kenny was trying too much on the album which made the shyt sound corny. What made his previous projects before TPAB special is the fact that they were pro black but at the same time effective. Section 80 basically TLDR TPAB, while GKMC brought that feeling back of the first time listening to Doggystyle

. Plus, TPAB has this whole complex of making "real hip hop" heads be obnoxious with what hip hop should sound like, when in reality there were WAY better albums that depict the black struggle to a tee:
Yet for some reason, TPAB was considered "the album" because of a bunch of jazz samples and a vague concept

. Bottom line, when the album came out it was glorious, but looking back at it...there were better albums that had a lot to say without walking on eggshells like TPAB
