I have never heard anyone who’s serious about music try to make the case that this isn’t a great album. Whether they personally enjoy it is a far different story. It’s not the easiest listen by almost any measure and it sounds far different from most popular music. A lot of people don’t go to music to be challenged which is perfectly reasonable.
