Ain't no way you grew up in a majority black environment and EVERYBODY treated you the same way. Everybody did not make fun of your looks. Everybody did not make fun of your clothes. Everybody did not make fun of your glasses. Everybody did not say you talked "white." Because you were not the only black person in the environment to have those features! If you were raised in a predominantly black environment then you are gonna encounter all types of black people. It's weird. I grew up around nothing but black people and never knew colorism was even a thing. If there was an attractive darkskin girl at school everyone was trying to get with her. No one ever said, "She darkskin nah...". Only time I remembered someone being teased for their darkskin was the captain of my high school football team. This Haitian kid who had really dark skin and was nicknamed 'midnight'. The teasing he received was light-hearted and wasn't malicious. He would even laugh about it himself. It wasn't an issue at all for him since he was a happy breh always smiling, and he got more p*ssy than my loser ass at least.

It wasn't until my exposure to modern social media where I see folks bringing up colorism ALL the time. And it's 100% women doing this. These 'divestors' who attribute all of their misfortunes to being darkskinned. This hyper-victimization mindset. They pursue a boy they had a crush on and things go awry..."oh it's because im darkskinned". They fail to get that nice job they applied for, "oh it's because im darkskinned". I fell down the stairs this morning, "oh it's because im darkskinned".

They politicize every misfortune in their lives and turn it into some faux-feminist issue in a futile attempt to garner sympathy from folks on social media. shyts tiring.

Doctors, engineers, financiers, PHDs(non-art based). The very definition of a PhD(non-art based) requires that you discover and advance knowledge which no other man has ever done before you. Seems like that defines cream of crop perfectly .



The overwhelming amount of these individuals had to disassociate from black folk to get there. They are out here building and sustaining the societies of others while their own communities are in shambles





Look at NeilDegrasse who grew up in the Bronx in the 80s and 70s, but has failed to do the exact same outreach that white people like astronomer Carl Sagan did for him by pulling him out and elevating him. Its very telling that he lives in Manhatten giving time and resources to PETA( white animal org.) while his own community of the bronx has the highest dropout rate(an issue he could solve) and It lacks financial resources.
