awww shyt, here we go with the "waves are the same as perm/weave" argument :aiscust:

Don't purposely misquote me negro. This purposive misquote is the exact same reason I been acting bytchy lately. I said permed/texturized men are the same as perm/texturize women and provided you with examples. Do you make up stuff to suit your argument?

I can bring the exact quotes to this thread if you would like...

:childplease: I come in these threads to counter the bs, garbage, and generalizations spread by the men on this board. I don't talk down on black men and when I have something negative to say I qualify it with some, a lot, many, etc.

Weren't you the one in that natural hair thread generalizing and coping pleas for black men who have the same practices as "self-hating" black women.

:usure: you still mad about the truth of that thread. I put examples of black men self hating throughout that thread, which were conveniently ignored. I've never bashed black women on this forum maliciously, i'm one of the supporters. Just because you put the effort in to get the last reply doesn't mean your correct.

The man that marries you is going to slit his wrist when he realises he can't compromise with his woman because she wants to have the last say in everything.

Have fun being 60 years old by yourself in church asking God to find you a man.

Why would I be mad at the thread. I am natural and have been for years (I said that in the thread plenty of times, but clearly you ignored it to try to change the subject. Many of you guys can never address the points people make without trying to saying they must fit a certain mold just because you don't have anything else to say). You didn't want to call a spade a spade because some of those spades were black men. At least I was consistent you hypocrite.

Also :childplease: my man loves me (and based on what I've heard about myself "they don't make them like me anymore"). I only get in heated debates on here because I am talking to extremist who don't know how to make points without generalizing or extrapolating. Finally, it's pathetic that you HOPE I will be alone and lonely when I am 60. I wish you the same fate that you wish me ahole.

If it's one thing I don't like is a stupid mofo misquoting me. You can go back to the thread to see what I said. Don't make shyt up because you are a damn hypocrite. I will be back with my actual post you non point having ahole.

Here are my actual quotes from the thread. You make yourself look like an idiot:

Yeah, I don't see the average guy straigtening his hair (I am only talking about those examples posted). Why can't we label men who do (including entertainers) self-haters? We would label celebrity women who wear weaves self-haters despite the fact that many of them have stated that they wear them so they don't have to deal with the constant abuse of their hair (which may or may not be true).

I just like consistency and pretending that those are two different things is not consistent behavior.

Yeah, when I said abuse I was talking about celebrity women who use that excuse which I can see because their hair has to be "laid" all the time. I was trying to compare celebrity men to celebrity women (apples to apples). Again, I just wanted to see why you guys would say it is okay for celebrity men but not celebrity women (I just don't think you guys recognize when you are being inconsistent).

However, I do have a question in response to this post though. To the bolded to, do you have long hair or do you rock the typical black male hair cut?

That is why I asked whether you guys thought that was the same thing. I just wanted to see if you guys are consistent. If a woman even asks you guys that question, we are accused of being bald-headed, weaved up, permed out, copping out self-haters (which is silly because we are all natural in this thread and it stifles any type of healthy conversation because you are put on the defensive if you say anything that doesn't align with what you guys think we should say).

The only reason this came up is because I keep on seeing men in this thread excusing the same behaviors in men. I'm not talking about the number of people who do it. I am talking and asking about actions and guys always respond with "well there aren't a lot of men who do it so..." (which to me is excusing the behavior if a man does - as long as not too many men do it).

It's really just a test to see if there is even a reason to have this discussion (I can't talk to people who don't show consistency because it impossible to reason with these type of people or try to help them understand certain things through examples). To me:

Permed man and permed woman are the same to me.
Natural women who put all types of concoctions in their hair to define "curls" that they wouldn't have without all that work/product are the same as men who put all types of concoctions in their hair to define wave/curls that they wouldn't have without all that product. They are the exact same actions and they stem from the "good hair" debate.

most black men don't perm their hair in order to get waves. i don't care about the handful of 360 degrees wave forum post you bring up. especially when damn near every black women in america has subjected themselves to perms.
