watch the movie "cristo rey" about a haitian kid falling in love with a dominican girl in DR. u will see how the dominicans treat the haitians like shyt, but the black dominican gets treated like a brother. same in my town. when the haitian dude selling ice cream used to come around, some people acted like he wasnt shyt but a peasant. mind u my grandfather was the mayor of that town and he as dark as wesley snipes and his family was the most respected family of the region, an entire family of black dominican brothers who organized all the laborers and farms in our region into 1 cooperative exporting company in the 70s and early 80s. so its not like here, where dark skin=bad. over there the prejudice exists against haitians and its fukked up, but if it was purely racial then black dominicans would be getting shytted on too.
I get what you are saying but There's colorism all throughout the caribbean

if u referring to the haitian treatment, i am aware and i am disgusted by it. but it isnt a racial thing, its a border thing. hatians could be asian or mestizo and it wouldnt be any different. DR is a 3rd world country trying to blame money problems on its neighbors because it is an even poorer country. if haiti was doing well economically or if it was a french or american commonwealth, u wouldnt be able to keep the dominicans out of haiti and the intermarriages would be through the roof.

but this is amerikkka, everything to americans is racial.

He's right. You don't know what you're talking about. DR currently has the fastest growing economy in Latin America. This year it had a 6.0 percentage growth, same as Panama (while they're preparing to build a new canal). Why would DR, or the people who run DR, blame Haitians for "money problems", when we're greatly benefiting from cheap Haitian labour right now. We basically have this nation of semi-slaves next to us, of which our elites can exploit for the development of the country. The only people who are being affected with Haitian immigration are the peasants, i.e. your folks.

Where the cool air resides!
From my observations after being born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, there are three type of Latinos/Hispanics.

1. The ones who are into hiphop and hang out with blacks
2. The ones who are into hiphop but only hang out with other latinos while speaking down on blacks
3. The whitewashed ones who hang out with the token white kids at school

Majority of my friends growing up were Latino but the only thing that bugs me about most of them is how they emulate our culture yet shyt on us. I've heard some Dominicans say things that made me go :dwillhuh:.

You wear jordans, say nikka, sag your pants down, rock polo/trues like a young black male yet you speak down on us like we're subhumans? :what:

I respect the Latinos who acknowledge their african roots but the ones who imitate rappers yet shyt on blacks need to go off themselves.

its already been established that you are an idiot troll. why would the dominican elites want to keep the haitians here, when theres just as much cheap dominican labor :dahell:. u basically saying dominican elites have been fighting to keep haitians here and the peasants are the ones with the power and passing laws to kick them out :dahell:. if u gonna troll, troll intelligently.

that does happen. but me as a harlem dude i never had any ill will towards my black brehs growing up. its SOME of the latinos that are in the segregated places that sometimes get a little racist towards blacks. when we living in the same place tho we dont get like that. me and my pops side of the fam and my brothers all grew up in harlem and every single one of us have had close black friends at one point or another, even though we faced some cism from other blacks. but i got some cousins in the heights that tend to be a little on that :mjpls: cause they came from DR and went straight into all dominican neighborhoods and dont know any better.

It's already been established that you're an inbred Dom-York hick trash with an IQ below room temperature. Tell me, who is passing laws to kick Haitians out? Danilo Medina has currently placed a law which basically grants amnesty to thousands of illegal Haitians coming into the country. They don't need them to flood the country, you dumbass, they just need enough of them to provide cheaper labour in place of you lazy useless fuks.

@Tony Muthafu%*in Tubbs dropkicked this thread.

Just another thread of confused militancy mixed with the potent force of feeling forever persecuted. This thread is just as irrational and obscene as most threads featuring whites, where they start with a giant misconception about black people and go from there. I went to a Ferguson rally here in So. Cal and it was DOMINATED by latino brothas and sistas. Why dont y'all get out the house and experience whats really good with your neighbors, rather than staying holed up in your lil agitated "pro black" shell?

I stand for issues that I believe in, and remain principled. How can I shout for equal rights for black folks, and then argue against the rights of another maligned group? Thats false. Saying "well all latinos aint down for blacks" is a strawman. Not every black maufukka is my "brotha", and there are a gang of blacks that would sell me down the river if they thought there was a nickel in it for them.

You're gonna see what you want breh. As i said before you are paranoid and thats to be expected. Racism exist everrywhere even in black countries so yes every black faces discrimination and racism everywhere. But for you to think that all others are out to get you and against you is stupid.
I agree but I think you have to realize for some cats they really live their lives based off what they see on tv and online. I'm almost positive one cat actually said that about look at whats on tv. How about what really goes on IRL but you know dudes will always see what they want to see.

I think that's more likely to happen regardless of race. I rarely see "racist" people that grew up and interacted with different groups its usually cats who hang around their own group where they can say things they wouldn't be comfortable saying if there was mixed company ime.
