I respect his musical talent when it comes to destroying tracks when he's featured on other peoples songs.
When I was younger(Elementary & Middle School) I was a fan of his music. But as I got older started to realize that he just didn't appeal to me anymore and his fans were pretty ridiculous with the statements they'd make proclaiming he's the greatest rapper alive and other mind boggling statements.
I realized majority of his white fan base actually don;t even listen to hip-hop and actually despise Hip-hop when it comes to black artists.

You don't know how many times Ive dealt with explaining to white people that there are several genres of rap and isnt all about guns, drugs, hoes, cars and clothes.

I tried to put my girl friends roommate on to some A tribe called quest(Electric Relaxation) 3yrs ago explaining to her that there is positive hip-hop. She brushed that shyt off and was like:ld::stopitslime:.

Tell me why 2 weeks later I go to their apartment and shes jamming

When I saw and Penn and Teller....SERIOUSLY....PENN AND TELLER....these guys...
PennTeller.jpg
know that know nothing about hip hop having call Eminem the greatest rapper of all time because what he talks about is "so deep," I turned off my television.

LOL

It's shyt like that that turns off black folks, those who act like black MC's say nothing but gibberish until Em grabbed the mic. But instead of white folks policing their own and telling those types :whoa: they rather focus on our reactions.

:heh:

STAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
STAN!!!!!!!!!!
STAN!!!!!!!!!!!
STAN!!!!!!!!!!!

If blacks discredit Em, its probably only to whites..........cuz no black folks sit around and talk about Em, now if a white guys comes along, thats basically what the "Rap" convo will be about.....some how, some way whites lead the convo into Em..
and blacks have to slow it down just a little.........like whoa hold up.......we let yall hi-jack and take credit for so many forms of
American music that was created by blacks.....that when it comes to Em..........white folks have to understand.....Em was good, at times he was great, but in comparision to the legends he cant stand up.......... im willing to even go out a limb and say Em catalogue wont stand up to Lil Wayne's......

Now we will see who the stans really are...........

Em made it very clear, that he dyed his hair for a reason...........remember he went back to his normal hair color....
Em made it very clear, that his STANS is the reason he is so over-rated.......... he dropped staight duds back to back
to back to back...........and guess what his fans said he was better than ever........STANS!!!!! STANS!!!!!STANS!!!!

4 mics out of 5, or out of 10? :rudy: My point was people claim Em is top 5 when in reality he's not even top 10. At best I'd put him top 25, at best. The cat has like 1 good album in a career full of weedplates, I just don't get the hype, other than he's white and he can spit :manny:

Out of 5, can't agree with you on a career full of weedplates.

SSLP, MMLP, TES, Devils Night, Relapse = All 4 or better, 2 debatable "classics" (I hate this word) some great guest spots here and there (not all I mind you), 8 mile as a project, BME was DECENT, you factor in his underground run and it's PLENTY of dope shyt if you like that type of rap.

Infinite doesn't rate high but has it's merits, encore is bad, d-12 world is bad, recovery is mediocre.

nikkas acting like his catalog is just straight up abysmal seem to be trying to compensate for the hype he gets....the whole over/underrated shyt is a bit overstated on both sides.

TORONTO!
Cause most of his albums are trash :yeshrug:
Basically. I have them all, mostly from bargain bins when I was still into collecting, and just dled the newest ones. He just doesn't consistently make music I can feel.

He's very talented lyrically, but his producing (and beat selection since Dre gave him some lame shyt too), and his overall song topics are lacking

i refuse to conform
I'm Black (Last time I checked...) and I respect Eminem...he's nice. But I have never been able to listen to a full album. IDK why, but his voice and beats start to get annoying after a while.

But as nice as Eminem is....no white dude in Hip Hop is more ill on the mic than this man...
