Any nikka that tries to discredit Em is a fukking clown and doesn't even really know the technical skills that go into rap. Black folks are more irked with nikkas calling Em the goat but not adding any actual factuals to debate. I have heard cacs call Em the goat for reasons like "he has an Oscar" and "he ran the early 2000's" 
Any rap fan worth their salt will know that Em is one of the most technically sound rappers to ever live, on a Rakim level imo. The dude fukks with the english language for shyts and giggles and creates masterful verses. Dude's pen game is somewhat questionable especially in recent years. And the 2nd half of his discography is nothing compared to the first but i have never heard anyone try to discredit what he has done.

i admit that if i was to nitpick through his disog you can present em in a way that he could be considered top 20-25 or something, but if you include all the missteps and the cornier efforts its easy to why people don't really like eminem

It seems we have this discussion every month. Let me start out by saying that EM is NICE!!!! He is a talented lyricists, no question. What it comes down to for me is two things....
1. White people try to force EM down everybody's throat as the best rapper of all time. And they do it simply because he is white for the most part.
2. He raps about the most off the wall, ridiculous shyt I've ever heard. His subject matter basically consists of mushrooms, vicodin, killing his baby mom's, killing his mother and homoerotic skits about men sucking his dikk. Sound ridiculous to say? What songs do the general public associate with Em?

But these same white people will complain about rappers talking about the ghetto, guns, jewelry etc...
Bottom line he's not GOAT or in that discussion because he chose to be a clown.
I don't know how anybody can listen to Paid in Full, Reasonable Doubt, Illmatic, Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik, Midnight Marauders and think he belongs with those kinds of MC's.
