Above the fray.
My boy got a 2013 Volvo XC90 truck and his alternator just went out, car only got 45k on it:beli:$270 for the replacement/install. In my group of friends I'm the only one who knows a lil something bout cars so they always come to me, can tell you a bunch of stories bout brehs with Dodges, Jags, Benz.

Meanwhile my 92' Camry has the original alternator, engine, trans, starter etc. and haven't had a problem :blessed:

Given certain brands track record for reliability, why y'all still copping :trash:

You're on the right path,Broham.

To answer your question though, internet or not.....people are going to be who they always were. Research is out there for anybody who wants to find it....Consumer Reports puts out decent used car and new car guides.
People are buying cars for EVERY reason other than reliability and maintenance costs though.

Be smart with your money, young brother......let others be slaves to consumerism. Keep doing you.

nikkas like to make they self feel better about driving buckets by shytting on people who spend on luxury..shyt lame...I rather ride the metro then ride a bucket and I did that already had the choice to grab bucket or ride metro..was on that bus and train until the foreign keys came
:laff:this thread is hilarious

In all honesty, I like the OP's mentality considering he's 19. I really wish my little bro thought like this. This fool and some of his friends are basically working just to pay their car notes and insurance and have nothing left over smh. Still, I realize that not everyone wants to drive a bucket or even a cheap car and that's fine too. To each their own.

I've been riding on my 02 acura rsx since 2008. Had about 211k miles on it and its even more fun to drive when I first got it.

If I can get up to 300k miles on this bad boy I'll be happy.

Just switched to that mobil one annual synthetic oil. Only gotta change the oil every 20k miles & the engine sounds smooth.

Next upgrades are probably gonna be upgraded suspension and bushings.

Drive your car until you can't drive it any more OP.
fukk a car note it's not worth the headache.
If I do get another car it's gonna be a cash car

I don't want to get rid of my Saab but my mechanic warned me if it gives me any issues to throw it in the bushes :sadcam:
2002 Saab 9-3 was my first car. :wow: I had some good times with that shyt. Had to toss it to the bushes because it had too many problems, but in hindsight, I'm fukking kicking myself that I didn't keep it and just fix it up. All the work that needed to be done would of been less than $800 bucks. :wow: It had around 160k miles on it (Im just pulling that # out my ass because the odometer and speedometer stopped working @ 142k :pachaha:)

All it needed was a new ABS control module, some new shocks/struts and a new exhaust system because the stock one was rotted and created a mean exhaust leak. Thats it! I could of been note free :to: I felt like Mitch every time I got in it

My girl parents got a 2001 TL with 258k, that car still got power and got the most comfortable seats. Acura made some damn good cars back then.

Don't care what no nikka say, 90s-early 2000s Acura/Honda and Toyota/Lexus produced some of the most reliable, smooth running cars ever. My next car will probably be a ES 300 or TL from that era.
