Greeks, while romanticised by Europe since they were the bedrock of a lot their culture, were savages to each other as well.

All others they encountered in the east or south, except maybe Egypt, were regarded as efette, weak, and debauched. Other Europeans were just savages to be enslaved, barely humans.

There's a reason Rome lasted longer than them. Alexander showed the Greeks how to build an empire and the Macedonians were regarded as foreignors and not allowed to participate in the Olympic games without bribes.

knew this was about Persepolis.

He killed Aristotle’s nephew and that guys son and him because he was prostrating.. basically bowing down and kissing others on the cheek and basically his army was like :scust: this really pissed people off. He was trying to solidify his rule in Persia by adapting customs

They plotted on his life so he killed Aristotle’s nephew and that old generals son and then had an assassin kill the general cause he didn’t wanna deal it himself. He then got drunk and killed the dude who was known as “the black” because of a disagreement but he had saved him too.

Then he burnned Persepolis because of Greek fanboyism. Fun fact, Macedonians weren’t really considered Greeks back then but Macedonians stanned the fukk out of them. Phillip ii said “can we be Greeks too” and they said “no nikka” then Phillip said fukk it and took over all of Greece

Also Alexander wanted to build a multicultural utopia, that’s why Alexandria was built:patrice:

Yea...Macedonia was north of Greece in the mountains. The Greeks had a more sophisticated and civilized society. Wealthy. Educated. Cultured. Macedonians were looked at as barbarians to the Greeks....a bunch of farmers and fighters. After the wars with Persia......basically everything that happened in the 300 movies......Greece was WEAK. When the war was over, Sparta and Athens were the two most powerful Greek city-states and they got to fighting over control of Greece. Athens lost to Sparta. Then, years later, Sparta was beat in battle by Thebes. All this in fighting made the Greeks weak. So by the time Phillip came of age, Greece was so weak it was easily conquered by the Macedonians. But the Macedonians were still looked at as barbaric. It was like if the Dothraki conquered Westeros. The rich and wealthy Macedonians tried to dress and talk like hte Greeks but, they were made fun of for being savage. The Macedonians, in turn, made fun of the Greeks for being pussies and soft.

The Macedonians looked at Alexander like a man. Their leader. When Alexander conquered the Persians and became their emperor, he was worshipped like a "God" the same way Darius was before Alexander defeated him. This meant people prayed to him, kissed his feet and bowed when he walked past. So....Alexander's Macedonian half of his army was looking at this newfound "worship" like :patrice: we don't do this in Macedon :dame:

Cleitus the Black was a warrior that was around when Phillip was still King. Alexander was insecure about being in his father's shadow and being controlled by his father's old buddies. Cleitus eventually spoke out against Alexander after he overheard Alexander disrespecting his father. Alexander was on some "I'm the son of Zeus, Phillip aint my daddy, he was a bum who never did anything" type shyt. Cleitus was like Phillip conquered Greece for you, you inherited his army, had everything given to you, you conquered Asia but you aint start from the bottom....you aint Jordan nikka....you LeBron on the Heat :gucci: Alexander killed him :hubie: Cleitus saved Alexander from getting his skull crushed in battle so it's funny that he killed the dude that protected him :gucci:

Parmenion was one of his father's old generals.....again.....Alexander didn't like anyone from his father's era. But Parmenion held Alexander down over and over. Alexander's strategy in every battle was to rush his part of the army to the right side of the field to draw the other side's army over. To create a hole in the center. Parmenion's part of the army had to keep the left side from getting overwhelmed and surrounded while Alexander was stretching the army thin. Parmenion always did that. He was a rider. He was crucial to the battles Alexander won. Alexander still killed him though :hubie:

It was never really proven that Philotas (Parmenion's son) was trying to scheme on Alexander's life. Alexander gave him a 10 minute trial :dame: He never liked the nikka and since he never wanted Parmenion around because he was always telling Alexander how his father would do things, it was the perfect opportunity to accuse Parmenion's son of treason so he could kill Parmenion and his family.

Aristotle's nephew like you said wasn't about to pray to no nikka he grew up with :dame: Alexander knew he couldn't flat out kill him after he killed Cleitus. So he tricked Aristole's nephew into talking about the difference between the Greeks and the Macedonians. Alexander knew this would anger the Macedonians. So later on when Aristole's nephew did something else that wasn't well received, nobody stuck up for him to prevent his death because Alexander had manipulated him into pissing the whole army off before :sas2: Alexander went on and on about Aristole being his mentor and someone he looked up to only to kill his nephew :dame:

Dude was a horrible person.

Hilarious after he died they all lost their minds and wanted to kill each other. Most of them were childhood friends and sat and learned from Aristotle together on that same platform in Macedonia. Even went to war together. Then they did what Greece before them did, fought each other till weakening then Rome came in to take it all

Well yea...he made it seem like the Macedonians would be gone fighting for a few years. They were gone for more than a decade :mjlol: they were beyond salty with that dude. Cats never made it back home. Alexander didn't want to rule his empire. He just wanted to fight, travel and conquer the whole world at 27. That's why his empire fell apart the second he died. Had he took a break for a few years after winning Persia and solidified his empire, he could've easily went into India and made lightwork. He probably might've thought to invade the rest of Europe too :manny: But he never wanted to sit down and rule anything. If he was smart, he would've married a Babylonian chick, had babies, and made arrangements to marry those kids off to people from Greece, Macedon and other parts of Persia to solidify his empire and keep all his "subjects" within the "royal family". THEN went off to go after India and other parts of the world. But he was dumb and impatient. That's why he died of fever and his boys destroyed everything he built two minutes after he was gone:mjlol:
