Why do churches still collect tithes if it's an Old Testament thing?

I can show you in the bible where God told his people to use their tithing to get drunk and buy what they want.

I can show in the bible where God told his people to give their tithing to the poor and widows

They use Malachi to justify taking 10%, but it was the priests that was stealing not the people. "How can a man rob God.. They never read the chapters before to show whom the speaker is referring to.

No where in the bible does it say give 10% of your money. People in the bible had currency too, weighed in shekels. Its mentioned in Genesis over 30 times alone.
