Why do Dominicans own so many Corner Stores in NYC

Arabs are running a cartel on tje corner stores, puerto ricans had em, then dominicans took over, now arabs took over. To be honest they are running a very good business, they renovated thr stores snd the food is good. They make a killing selling loosies though.

It is. In the Bronx specifically tho when people say uptown they mean where the 2/5 train runs around Gun Hill.

Then there’s the General uptown of Manhattan and the Bronx.

Since hanging with Jamaicans in the Bronx I got attached to only referring White Plains Rd as uptown lol

my wife put me on game, the real money maker is . . . . . the numbers game

her parents alone clear 20k a week. . . . from one location, they own 3 stores

a lot of bodegas are involved, her step dad has actually been robbed at gun point twice for the numbers cash, most likely inside jobs

I go to the Dominican salon to get a shave in between my haircuts and I'm also at attention because the numbers spot is in the back of the business. A lot of shady characters go in and out during opening hours.

Anyone notice Dominican barbershops opening up all over the place. They are opening shop in black areas too. Crown heights and Flatbush! Just like the hair salons it looks like they are testing the waters in non-Dominican areas!
