The word rezoning means gentrification to most blacks and Latinos but a lot of our people don’t know that if these places do not get rezoned then rental prices will keep rising.

Man i just hope things stay the same and not lose any territories to these cacd. After my 4 years are up. Im moving straight back.

:dahell: this is recent?

man . . . these other dudes, idk where they get their info from, drug dealing out the store might happen here and there, but the overwhelming majority of dominican bodegas, their real cash flow is from the numbers game, thats it, thats the secret

numbers . . . . everyone from housewives, everyday customers, grannies, they all play, everyday, 365 days a year . . . . police for the most part look the other way, since its not as urgent as other types of crime, my mother in law got caught, she paid a fine and went right back into it . . . when you making 20k a week from just one store . . . . . lawyers fees and a 5k fine is just part of doing business:wow:

Running a clean operation over here bruhs :yeshrug:

All of the Black, Hispanic and Afro Caribbean folks being forced out though (Prospect Heights/Crown Heights area). Gotta think of new ways to get these white people in sometimes besides the cats. Area is heavily gentrified if not completely so there really isn't that community like that but people do still come from different places around the city to chill/visit. That video made me realize how strong some of the propaganda must have been in DR regarding the 60s (Trujillo/Bosch/Balaguer) cuz I feel like a good portion see those dudes and their views in a positive way on some strength through brutality shyt. And then the mass migration to NYC as a place of refuge helps reinforce a "pro America" view.

One of the pics in this shows a child that straight up looks exactly like me, my mother and my sister lol.

I'm reading these comments, and it is making me wonder, where is all the money going?

I know D.R. isn't a rich country. Dominicans are the poorest latins in the country, at 28%. I can't figure out why aren't Dominicans doing better then what I see in the data? It's been like this for decades.

Every group with black people in it, including black americans, claim they are doing good, but the data ALWAYS says otherwise.

I want to know because I want to see what people do with their money.

That data isn't all the way accurate because if u just look at Bodegas and restaurants and bakeries, most of the employees are off the books. Most of our enterprises are cash businesses and I doubt all of the employees are reporting their full income at the end of the year. For example my parents worked off the books all of my youth and my mom collected benefits while doing so. She put herself through college doing that and once she graduated and got a good job, she got off the welfare. You gotta play the system sometimes to make it.

I got a bunch of fam around rockaway Blvd. Others by liberty and sutphin. I know plenty of people who are moving out there because it's so much cheaper than other areas of Queens. My baby sitter just moved as well. My cousin has a supermarket out there. You asked where would be a good spot for a bodega. You said there's not many out there. I think it would make sense
