Why do Knick fans on here treat Carmelo like he's Derek Jeter?

This dude doesn't even get treated anywhere as harshly by the media as Patrick Ewing, who was a much better player, played in a better eastern conference, and was waaay more successful, thing is Pat was personally alot more more hostile with NY media he wasn't with the fukk shyt and he let it be known. The Isola trolling is wack I'll admit, but Pat used to get shytted on so heavy so my empathy for Melo in regards to media treatment is low given the circumstances.

Knicks need to trade Melo to wherever he wants to go for preferably a malcontent star, young piece, and/or picks. Whatever gets the deal done... and if the Knicks don't like the pieces they get, flip them, then go with the youth movement next season (aka tank) and hope to sign someone summer 2017.

Sticking with Melo past this season is just going to delay the rebuild.

Cool, any other examples?

The vast majority of title teams are built through the draft and smart trades using assets from the draft. How about all the failed "superteam" attempts that tried to copy the Heat, the Knicks being one of them :mjlol:

Skipped a charity event the other night too. That's why the get rid of Camby back in the day

Yeah he's done u can't take on a owner never mind one with the ego of Dolan and win. Though Dolans such a weird dude who gets fetishes for people so who knows

But I gotta think Melos end game is to leave if he's taking on the owner publicly. Question is what team is gonna take on a ball stopping player who's skills are in heavy decline

Maybe one of these teams thinks melo can play the pierce in Boston role when he got to play with Allen and Kg

if the knicks can get good players through free agency, then keeping melo is worth it 100 percent seeing how he can still play and is a an attraction. yall clown him all he wants, but hes a respected player amongst his peers

if phil is just keep signing d leaguers, has beens, and bums (aka 2006, 2007 lakers smush parker lakers) then yeah, keeping a player of melo's calibar is pointless

Melo's done IMO.

Short of going to a team with TWO superstars and he's the 3rd guy, he's not getting close to a playoff run.

Other than Darko, he's the most forgettable of the top 5 picks that year. :francis:
mayb because the other 3 picks had to join together to win a ring
bosh never got out the first round before miami
wade got out the first round once without shaq or lebron
and they both played in the weak east
ppl are just too bias with their assessment nowadays

In the car a few minutes ago listening to 1010 WINS AM for traffic:

Sports Announcer: "Carmelo Anthony claims Jim Dolan made him apologize"

**plays Carmelo clip**

Sports Announcer: "apparently he should apologize for his grammar too. Should have stayed in Syracuse, Melo....this is 1010 WINS"

It's shyt like this that makes me refuse to bash Melo.

My Motto Is Always The Knicks Should Do What's Best For The Knicks, Whether That Means Trading Someone, Or Passing Up On Someone :manny:

The Coli Write The Book On How All Knicks Fans Feel

First We'd Ship Him Out For Lin, Now He's Derek Jeter

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Bump.

Dudes talking about firing Phil now, not realizing his hands are tied as long as Melo is on the team. The shyt is comical, the Bulls are ready to shop Butler who is better than Melo right now, yet the Knick fans on here act like you're talking about trading Prime Jordan if you say it would be in the Knicks best interest to move him.

I see @Derek Lee trying to talk sense into the Knicks fans in their thread and they just refuse to listen, the shyt is honestly hilarious. How many more losing seasons do you need before you realize Melo is not a franchise player? Every year they act like he's just one year away, like he's 23 years old or some shyt :mjlol:

Derek Jeter is the most overrated Yankee of all time.

Melo isn't on that level of overratedness
