I can never blame Melo because I know the problems with the Knicks go so far back Melo wasn't even in college yet. It goes back to Scott Layden trading Ewing instead of letting the man retire a Knick and having his salary come of the books. The fukked up CBA that made Layden think Shandon Anderson and Howard Isley deserved max contracts.

There is little to no pressure on Melo to win because most of the city doesn't think he bears any responsibility for the team being bad. There's no reason for him to leave.
