Why do Nas/Jay-Z fans act like its still 2001?

I don't get it nearly every hip hop forum i've been on and even on YT and shyt you've got their fans arguing over a 10+ year old beef thats been squashed and they just try to degrade them as artists. Jay-Z was at Nas' LIG album release party, the beef is over and has been for 10+ years now.

Because everything was simpler back then

That was clash of the titans, not two B-list rapers. If it aint talked about 20 years down the line then it wasn't even worth it. We usually don't get the battle, only the debate. This time we actually got what the streets, fans, industry, critics, consumers wanted. They can be best friends but that was monumental and therefore deserves to not have a statute of limitations.
