A football play only last's a few seconds, you have NO time to think...So when it's on, you either know how to "crush" your opponent or you don't...

If you don't know, you get crushed...But there is NO time to think...

So, when this is what you have been trained to do from the time you could walk...I think it becomes a learned behaviour...

You don't think...You just react to the situation...

America doesn't build them up to kill people.

Stop acting like this is societies problem. There's thousands of players who have half a brain and aint murdering anyone or beating people down.

I do believe you get a lot of the Alpha male types playing the game, and alpha male types tend to get into some shyt at times. Check any prison

:beli: you're acting like there have been regular instances of NFL players killing people. Society does play a part in it in that they feel that they're invincible or that the law can't touchthem... Or tthey're just straight up off their rocker like most are saying

Could it be roid rage maybe? For years they tried to say the NBA was full of thugs and problem players but every offseason it seems an NFL player has been arrested or involved in some kind of criminal activity.

Granted the number of players definitely contribute to the factor. But you would expect to see lot of misdemeanors and such. But these guys racking up homicide, drug trafficking, and felonies.
Also having a longer offseason could factor in

53 players per team, 12 players per team.

It's a sheer numbers game as to why NFL players get arrested more.

Roid rage? No, that's silly. Look at Hernandez situation, he seemed to have a thing with guns and hanging out with the wrong individuals.

There is more players, i`m sure the percentage is similar to other leagues.

NFL 53 players a team
NBA 12
MLB 26

Nah nfl players do get arrested at a much bigger rate then other sports

I think its like 1 out of every 3 players has been in some sort of legal trouble

i mean if you compare the ratio of NFL players who commit crimes to all nfl players and compared it to the ratio amongst the general population... Would it really be any different?

Unless you have some sort of link to that claim, you're strictly talking out of your ass.

As a fan of football my whole life, I know on my team there maybe 3-4 guys who had some legal trouble, outta 53.

Yea but the general population don't live in these guys' world. These dudes are millionaires with access and many resources that's not available to the common man.

Yeah and if a thug who is already mentally unbalanced starts messing with roids than it definitely doesn't help. Not saying Aaron is on the roids (cause I don't know). I was just saying roid rage in general for all the players who have been caught up over the years could be a factor.
