I know more players in the NFL get in trouble, but that can be chalked up to there being 1,855 players compared to the NBA's 350 or so.

NBA is a more visible sport, and on the sheer fact a lot of it has to do with racism.

Baseball season ends in October & starts back up near the end of February/beginning of March...that's around 5 months.

NBA season ends in April/May'ish & starts back up in October...that's around 5 months.

NFL season ends in December/January and doesn't really start back up until August. That's a good 8 months.
