:gucci: I'm not even boutta get into the unnecessary technicalities with ya purist niccas because I feel like I don't even have to explain myself . If you was outside at this time you understand how much momentum this album had in the streets that summer , along with The Champ Is Here tape , nikka kiss was on God mode that year ..

C/s personal classic to me people on this site underrate his discography

hot sauce to go is atrocious in both it's terrible beat and hook.

Skits served no purpose.

Same flow throughout the album and every other Kiss album.

Too much formulaic commercial pandering.

Hot sauce to go is the only wack song

@AMcV'88, I remember when KTGG came out, trying hard at age 15 to like listless tracks like "I'ma A Gangster" and "Crusin" just because it was Kiss and it felt like forever waiting on that album.

The first 6 tracks are 4/5, and then it gets very messy.
Maaan...it was looking like he really had one for those 5 songs

That's the only stretch of the album I actually remember to be honest :heh:

Jada's Got A Gun

Show Discipline, (one of Nas best guest spots, over classic beat)

Knock Ya Self Out, obviously dated and aged, but at the time, it was fire

We Gon Make It universally loved song

None Yall Better Not as good as "Recognize", but very solid Premo/Lox collab with quotable Styles and Jada bars

Bad RR early 2000's skit

I'ma A Gangster, incredibly uninspired, from the bars to the beat, to the lazy hook

Nasty Girl kind of had a soft spot for this, but it sounds badly dated today, besides the beat, despite that rappers still make these tracks, which kind of originated with Jay and Jada

Put Ya Hands up: A very solid single in its time

On My Way: Bad, bad Swizz Beatz track, with garbage hook and the oh so tired concept of naming different cities and the bytches Jada has in each one.

Crusin: Such a formulaic, lazy song, that I tried to like, because it was Jada, the essential hackneyed West Coast collab, with a barely engaged Snoop

fukkin Or What, just a classic garbage label type of track, that was popular at the time, and sadly still is...."ONE FOR THE LADIES"

Kiss Is Spitting reviewed in earlier post

And the album finishes well, besides the extremely generic "Keep Your Head Up", which again, was a label stable in Jada's time. Full album of slick talk and gangster shyt, and one for the kids to wrap it up.

It was bloated, and overdone, certainly a product and victim of it's time. Only thing is Jada has done this EVERY TIME. Kiss of Death had fewer lows though, but still managed to not quite be the classic he always should have made.

Because that mediocre garbage is not a classic.

Just because an album is over 10 years old, doesn't mean it's good.

Low key, Jada dropped the ball with this album. It wasn't better than The Champ is Here mixtape. His momentum was HEAVY going into this release and even though it was a solid effort, it was a bit of a let down.
Yup, this album was hyped like crazy in the summer of 2004... Jada had production from the heavyweights, he had all the tools to deliver a classic and just didn't
