Jesus
People are happy thinking they are in control of themselves. People don't want to read the Bible (around 40 different authors) because they will find out there is a God and He has rules which conflict with what they want to do in life.

People doesn't kill over the bible, they kill over religion.
Yall too caught up in religion stuff but the Bible wasn't written for any religion it was written for people in general.

Deuteronomy 13 :francis:

"Suppose you hear in one of the towns the LORD your God is giving you that some worthless rabble among you have led their fellow citizens astray by encouraging them to worship foreign gods. In such cases, you must examine the facts carefully. If you find it is true and can prove that such a detestable act has occurred among you, you must attack that town and completely destroy all its inhabitants, as well as all the livestock. Then you must pile all the plunder in the middle of the street and burn it. Put the entire town to the torch as a burnt offering to the LORD your God." :hhh:

The Wrong Side of the Tracks

I'd recommend not to read it or attend religious services about it unless you're 21 or older. Doing so earlier has been proven to impair the brain's ability to distinguish the line between fantasy and reality even into old age.

This is a boldfaced lie and unproven by ANY scientific investigation. I'd say your inability to tell the truth invalidates anything you have to say on the subject. Then again, your adolescent critique of the text is enough to render your opinion invalid.

Back on-topic: The library of texts known as Torah, Christian Bible, Apochrypha, etc., is an extremely difficult read as it covers an enormous amount of time and several different cultures/civilizations and their accompanying histories, laws, beliefs, myths, poetry, philosophies, etc. Attempting to read it without some guidance is why so many people don't know WTF they're talking about when they comment on it in this thread.

One more thing: What are these you nikkas have??

What a fukking strawman argument.

If the God of the Bible was authentic (which he's not), I'd try to stay on his good side.

But man tries to control other men with fictional shyt that trespasses on their freedom and common sense, so they fabricate the concept of divine retribution.

Fukk that bullshyt. :francis:

Considering it actually WAS meant for the people back then, your accusation of 'genocide' is unwarranted.

Also, there's nothing wrong with genocide since human beings have no objective purpose or meaning as they're nothing more than the random result of a cosmic accident.

Might as well mourn the loss of a field of corn being harvested.

You don't know shyt, bytch nikka. That's why you posted that one verse in a childish attempt to be 'edgy'.....like Richard Dawkins and the rest of the 'New Atheists'. The problem with y'all is, naturalism is more of a threat to science than religion will ever be or ever HAS been.

History is NEVER BS.

Bytch, no.

You cannot argue for a god of love, and then argue that the god-sanctioned genocide doesn't matter because the ones you're arguing with don't believe in God anyway.

Just fukking disgraceful. :hhh:
